Optisoft’s Recall module can send reminders to patients in three different ways when used in conjunction with the Email/SMS module.

Recall Letters

The standard Recall module allows you to print recall letters to a normal desktop printer based on a Microsoft Word template.

Recall Emails

Using the optional Email/SMS module you can also send your reminder via email. This is again based on the same Microsoft Word template as the letter but instead of being sent to the printer, the letter is sent as am email to the patient’s email address, as entered on their patient details. The email is sent as HTML so retains the formatting of your original template.

SMS Reminders

Using the optional Email/SMS module you can chose to send text message reminders. These are sent in addition to the printed or emailed reminders a number of days afterwards. You could, for example, send your recall reminder via email and then a week later send a text message as a follow up incase the patient had not received the email message. The SMS reminder message is based on a user defined template and is limited to a single message of 160 characters. Send Methods
