If you have entered your frame stock onto the computer you can select the frame the patient has selected using the drop down boxes on this screen. If the frame is not on the computer or it is the patient’s own frame then you can also type the frame details and price in manually.

  • Select the Frame Manufacturer from the dropdown box.
  • Select the frame from the Frame dropdown.
  • Select the frame Colour, this should also complete the Colour Code box.
  • If you have chosen to ‘free type’ the frame details then you need to select the Frame Type from the dropdown and also enter the Price.


Frame Tracer

Optisoft Enterprise can connect to the Nidek LT900 frame tracer or use a Wacom graphics tablet to trace frame dimensions so that they can be included in the order.

If you do not have these devices, Enterprise includes a number of standard shapes which can be used instead.


Standard Shapes

  • Click on the button at the top of the screen to display the standard shapes.

  • Select the shape which is closest to the frame’s actual shape, once selected a tick will appear in left lens, then click OK.
  • The measurement fields at the bottom of the screen will become active for you to fill in.


Tracing Frames

  • Click on the button to open the Tracing Utility.
  • Select the correct scanner from the drop down list and then click Connect to establish the link.
  • Trace the shape on the Design screen, and then check the result on the Preview screen.
  • Confirm the correct DBL (Distance Between Lenses) before click the OK button to add the measurements to the dispense.
