Markup schemes can be used to automatically apply a chosen mark up to items based on their wholesale price. This feature is of most use when used in conjunction with the downloaded lens catalogues.

You can apply mark up schemes to frames, lenses and lens finishes.

The markup scheme works by taking the wholesale price of an item, adding a percentage based markup, specified by the user, and any additional fees, again specified by the user, to calculate the retail price of the item.

Creating a Scheme

Before you can apply a markup scheme you will first need to create the criteria on which it is based.

Click on the Optisoft Orb in the top left of the screen

Select Maintain > Spectacles > Markup Schemes to open the Markup Schemes list. If any markup schemes currently exist on the system they would appear in this list for you to apply them.

Click on the New button to create a new Markup Scheme wizard.

Type Tab

The first tab will ask you which type of Pricing Scheme you wish to create. Select the appropriate option from the drop-down list.
