The following walkthrough will describe how to create a simple dispense in Optisoft Enterprise
First of all you will require the patient record you wish to create this dispense for. Either search for the record in the patients module, and use the Active Patient list, or select the record using the search box in the toolbar.
Next select the relevant Dispensing Optician from the drop down list.

Now go to the Rx tab.
If the patient record has an Rx, this should now be shown in the Grid. This will be the last Rx that has been attached to the patient. If you require to add a new Rx, or select a previous one, click on the Edit Rx button in the toolbar.
This will take you to the patient Rx screen, where you can either enter a new, edit the existing or search for a previous Rx.
Once you have the necessary Rx selected you can move onto the Frame tab.
You now need to select the frame that you wish to dispense.
Each drop down will be filtered on the selection of the previous drop down, so start with selecting the relevant Manufacturer.
Continue by selecting the correct frame model, Size, Bridge, Length and Colour.
The Price of the select frame should appear automatically.
If you are dispensing to a Patients Own Frame or using one that you haven't entered into Stock, you can manually type all the details into this tab instead.
You can now move onto the Lenses Type tab.
In this tab you first of all need to select from a Manufacturers Catalogue, or a Lens Filter. Simply dot the relevant option and choose your required Lens catalogue from the drop down list.
Now you can select the Vision Type and Material in the Right Eye. By default the Spectacle Dispensing module will dispense for both eyes, so the selection you make in the Right Eye will automatically be transferred to the Left Eye. If you need to select different options in either eye, the Separate Eyes button will allow you to do this.
With the Lenses Type details filled in you can now click on the Lenses tab.
When the Lenses Tab loads it will display a list of optically recommended lenses for you to choose from.
Simply select the lenses, then the tin and finally the coat, if required.
The items and their prices will be displayed to the right, with a total and any applicable Glazing Charges.
Now move onto the Summary Tab.
Here you can see an overview of all the products that you have previously selected in the other tabs.
