*Select a Manufacturer from the drop down list.
*Type a name for your lens in the Description text box
*Type a unique code for your lens in the Lens Code text box.
*Choose a Type, Material and Cash Category option from the relevant drop down lists.
*Enter the Minimum Fitting heights measurable from the top or bottom rim of the lens.
*Enter the Refractive Index, Density and Abbe Value as necessary.
*Click the http://www.optisoft.co.uk/wiki/images/optisoft/shared/SaveIcon.png icon when finished.

There are 2 ways of entering lens ranges as listed below:

*With your Lens Details still selected, click on the Range/Prices tab.
*Firstly, enter the Blank Size measurements one by one clicking the Plus icon after each entry.
*Next, add the Min and Max, Sphere and Cyl values.
*If relevant, you can also add the Min and Max Add values at this point, not forgetting to specify the Step intervals required.
*You can now choose a Prism Table if necessary.
*Enter the Uncut, Glazed and Retail prices if required. All prices are for the individual lens, not the pair price.
*Click the Plus icon when finished.
*Repeat as necessary for every range within this Blank Size measurement.

*You can now use a combination of available drawing functions, to map out the Sphere and Cyl values of your lens.
*With the Sphere and Cyl values entered, you can then enter the Add and Price values in the text boxes to the right.
*With the Selection Tool, select a relevant area of your graph.
*Press the Tick button.
*The Add values and Prices will now be applied to that area of the graph.
*Repeat as necessary for all the different Blank Sizes of your lens.
*Click the Save icon http://www.optisoft.co.uk/wiki/images/optisoft/shared/SaveIcon.png icon when finished.

  • Click on the optisoftorb.jpg in the top left of the screen.
  • Go to Maintain > Spectacles > Lenses.

Lens Details

  • Select a Manufacturer from the drop down list.
  • Type a name for your lens in the Description text box
  • Type a unique code for your lens in the Lens Code text box.
  • Choose a Type, Material and Cash Category option from the relevant drop down lists.

  • Click the SaveIcon.png icon when finished.

  • Next click on the Availability Graph tab.
  • You can now use a combination of available drawing functions, to map out the Sphere and Cyl values of your lens.
  • With the Sphere and Cyl values entered, you can then enter the Add and Price values in the text boxes to the right.
  • With the Selection Tool, select a relevant area of your graph.
  • Press the Tick button.
  • The Add values and Prices will now be applied to that area of the graph.
  • Repeat as necessary for all the different Blank Sizes of your lens.
  • Click the Save icon SaveIcon.png icon when finished.
