There are 3 ways to move appointments within the diary screens. You can:-

Drag the appointment using the mouse

Hover over the booked appointment and you will a four headed arrow appear at the line between the coloured tab and the patient details.

  • Click and hold the left mouse button.
  • Drag the appointment to an available slot, either on the same optometrist or another optometrist entirely, and then release the mouse button to drop the appointment into place.
  • It is possible to drag an appointment to another day, but only in the 7 Days view.

Manually change the details

  • Double click on the existing appointment.

  • Change the appointment time by altering the Start and End time. If an Appointment Type was selected then the End time will update automatically once the Start time is changed.
  • To move the appointment to another date use the calendar that appears when you drop down the date box.
  • To change optometrists you would drop down the Optician box and select another optometrist.
  • Click the saveandcloseicon.png button to complete the move.
  • Please note that it is not advisable to use this method unless you are 100% sure that the destination time is available. If the destination time is not available, Optisoft Enterprise will refuse to process to complete.

Find Next Appointment

You can use Find Next Appointment to search for the next available appointment of certain types or lengths, under certain optometrists.

  • Make the patient you wish to book the appointment for the active patient.
  • Click on the fnabutton.jpg button.
  • Select which optometrists you’d like to include in this search. Select 'All Opticians' if this is not part of your search criteria.

  • Either select the required appointment type or specify an appointment length.
  • Select the specific day of the week or leave it to search on all days.
  • Select when you’d like to start searching from i.e. after 10:00am or after 13th August.
  • Click the SearchIcon.png button to initiate the search.
  • Double Left click on the slot from the list that appears on the right hand side to bring up the appointment booking screen.
  • If none of the slots displayed are suitable, click on the FindNextIcon.png button to search for further available slots.
