Adding Opticians to the system means that you can assign them to a patient, add their name to a patient’s prescription as the issuer and they will be available for appointments in the Appointment module.
Creating Staff Members
To create a new member of staff
Click on the in the top left
Select Maintain > Patients > Staff to open the Staff Details screen
Enter the new staff member’s details into the appropriate fields. Note that the Short Name is used as a reference in certain modules and should be no more than three or four characters.
Ensure that you select the correct check box(s) to mark whether they are an O.O. or D.O. if applicable. If the record is neither an O.O. or D.O. then simply leave both check boxes empty.

Click the to save the new staff member to the database.
Amending Staff Members
