During an order's life you can assign it to a specific tray for tracking purposes.

You can assign a dispense/order to a tray in either Spectacles Dispensing or Order Tracking, but only once it has been confirmed.

To assign a dispense/order to a tray you would click on the Add Tray button and then select the appropriate tracking tray from the drop-down box.

If the order is moved to another tray you can click on the Change Tray button to enable you to select the new tray reference.

Once an order has been marked as collected, the tray is disassociated with order and added back to the list of available trays for reuse.

Creating Trays

Before you can assign the orders to trays you will first need to create the trays on the system.

  • Click on the in the top left of the screen
  • Select Maintain > Spectacles > Tray Maintenance to open up the maintenance screen.

  • If your tracking trays have either a prefix or suffix, e.g. A0001o, you can enter these into the boxes provided. You can only enter one set of values at a time so if your system had A trays and B trays, for example, you would have to add two ranges.
  • Enter a start and end value for the tray numbers, e.g. 1 - 10.
  • Click on Create Range to create the trays.
  • Click on the button to save the new range to the database.
