To create a new lens follow the steps below

Click on the in the top left
Select Maintain > Spectacles > Lenses to open the lens maintenance screen.

Select the manufacturer from the drop down box.
Enter a description for the lens.
Enter a lens code. This should be the manufacturer’s catalogue code or another suitable reference.
Select the lens type from the drop down.
Select the lens material from the drop down.
Enter the number of working days – this is the number of days the lens takes to arrive from the supplier if you do not keep it in stock.
Enter a marketing information note. This will appear on the lenses’ button in the Spectacles Dispensing module.
Enter any notes in the box provided. These notes will only appear on this maintenance screen.
Enter values for the Refractive Index, Density or Abbe V.
Assign a further lens type by ticking the appropriate checkbox. – This is an optional step.
You will then need to add range and price information to be able to use the lens. For this next step see Adding Ranges
