Optisoft Newsletter Winter 2009
December 9, 2009
I’m sure you would agree that 2009 has simply flown past and this year Optisoft celebrated 20 years dedicated to the optical market. Milestones like that, plus the approaching New Year, make us think about what has been achieved and what our plans are for the future.

When Optisoft was founded back in 1989, I remember saying that one day everything in the practice would be computerised and that paper would be a thing of the past. Computers heralded a fundamental change of media and the advent of the digital age. At the time, they looked at me as if I was a bit strange and edged nervously away!

Well, this is the last piece of paper you will receive from Optisoft and, as you will read in the newsletter, it is entirely possible for you to go paperless yourself too. Also, with the launch of our on-line catalogue service, it can’t be long before all of the practice is computerised, as dispensing is the last great bastion to be breached, and it inevitably will be.

We have achieved a tremendous amount in the past two decades and the future looks set to be even more exciting. Of course, none of it would have been possible without you. So, I would like to wish you all A Very Merry Christmas and a Prosperous New Year. Finally, if we don’t have your email address, we won’t be able to keep you informed about future progress at Optisoft. So, please ensure you use the fax back form to update us or, better still, why not send us an email to
